The City of Rome Office of Downtown Development Unveils New Logo
By Amanda Carter
The City of Rome Office of Downtown Development proudly unveiled a new logo Tuesday night at a Downtown Development Authority (DDA) function attended by board and committee members. This unveiling is the kick-off to a complete rebranding campaign lead by the DDA Design Committee, which will include downtown signage and an updated website.
This new logo was created to represent the unique charm of downtown by including prominent historic landmarks. The logo spotlights the Robert Redden Footbridge, the Rome Clocktower and historic downtown buildings.
City staff, along with DDA Board Member and Design Committee Chair, Megan Watters, have worked on this rebranding project for over six months in order ensure historic downtown Rome was perfectly portrayed.
The Downtown Development Director, Amanda Carter, is delighted with the outcome and excited to promote the new look. Carter stated “the vibrant color palette and appealing design is a truer picture of downtown. We really wanted this logo to compliment the City of Rome logo, as well.”
The Office of Downtown Development would also like to thank V3 for creating such a charming and fitting design.
