Human Resources and Risk Management-Rome

Our Mission

The City of Rome Human Resources and Risk Management Department is committed to providing quality professional services with integrity, objectivity, responsiveness, sensitivity, and confidentiality to all employees, as well as the public. Our Human Resources staff is an essential and effective partner in developing and executing the City's organizational strategy as it relates to the most expensive asset of the City, its employees. In addition, we are committed to being a source of information to fulfill the ever-changing needs of our employees.

Our Vision

Through collaborative efforts and quality customer service, we continually build a culturally diverse and high-caliber workforce that contributes to the overall success of the City.

Recruitment Statement

Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they are able to perform every task in the job description. We are most interested in finding the best candidate for the job, and that candidate may be one who comes from a less traditional background. The City will consider any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, education, and experience to meet minimum qualifications. If you are interested in applying, we encourage you to think broadly about your background and skill set for the role.
